National Register Nomination of Moore County Horse Country’s Old Growth Forest
STACH worked with the Walthour Moss Foundation, to research, study, and compose a National Register nomination for over 2,700 acres of horse country and old growth forest in Moore County, NC. With more than 40 miles of trails, fence jumps, man-made hunt features, and Mile-Away Farm, the acreage is the center of the NC equine community and home to a countless number of cat-faced trees dating to the naval stores industry.
